Does naturopathy know a remedy for vaginal dryness?

When the mucous membranes are dryness - ie even with vaginal dryness - linseed is recommended as a natural remedy. Linseed contains so-called lignans and other phytohormones, which act like estrogen and stimulate mucus production. Midwives recommend flaxseed, e.g. even before birth, so that the vagina becomes moister.

If you want to try it, take 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed daily. It is best to drink a glass of water. Or you stir the flaxseed into a yogurt or a cereal. In addition, linseed is also intended to help against sweating during menopause.

Linseed or red clover

Also red clover (meadow clover), which also contains phytohormones, is repeatedly recommended for the relief of vaginal dryness. Again, the effect is created by the estrogen-like ingredients. In addition, one uses the plant against hot flashes, sweats, nervousness and Libido loss.

As almost always in natural medicine, neither one nor the other is scientifically proven. But from our point of view, this is no reason not to give it a try, since hormone ointments sometimes prescribed by gynecologists are not a good solution in the long term.

Flax seed in heat wave

For about 1 1/2 years, I have been taking a tablespoon of ground flax seed with a glass of water half an hour before breakfast each morning. It actually helps. During the day I have no more heat waves, at night only now and then. Even with mucosal dryness I have made good experiences with it. Can only recommend the tip.
